A. Approval of Minutes
Approve the Minutes of the February 25, 2014 Regular City Council
Meeting.
B. Adoption of Ordinances No. 1689 and 1690
1. Second Reading/Adopt Ordinance No. 1689 an Ordinance of the
City Council of the City of Fontana, approving Zone Change No. 12-
005, a zone change to the Zoning District Map to change
approximately five (5) gross acres of property (APN: 0239-161-27)
from General Commercial (C-2) to Regional Mixed Use (R-MU) and to
modify Figure No. 1 (Warehousing Distribution Logistic Overlay
Boundary Map) of Section 30-302 of the City of Fontana Municipal
Code to include APN: 0239-161-27;
2. Second Reading/Adopt Ordinance No. 1690 an Ordinance of the
City Council of the City of Fontana, approving Zone Change No. 13-
001, amending the Zoning District Map to add the Warehousing
Distribution/Logistic Overlay to the property (APN: 0239-161-27)
located approximately 330 feet north of the intersection of Summit
Avenue and Sierra Avenue and having a frontage of approximately
300 feet on the east side of Sierra Avenue and a depth of
approximately 637 feet east of Sierra Avenue.
C. Acceptance of Final Map for Tract No. 17885
Accept Final Map for Tract No. 17885 located north of Foothill
Boulevard (adjoining the Pacific Electric Trail) between Sultana
Avenue and Lime Avenue; accept as public dedicated streets and
easements; and authorize the City Manager to enter into a Subdivision
Agreement with the subdivider.
D. Contract Amendment Between City of Fontana and San
Bernardino County Probation Department
Approve Contract Number 13-447 Amendment No. 1 of the contract
agreement between the City of Fontana and the County of San
Bernardino Probation Department as follows:
1. CHANGE that portion of Section XI (Term), which now reads, “This
contract shall be effective on July 1, 2013, and shall terminate June
30, 2014.” To read: “This contract shall be effective on July 1, 2014,
and shall terminate June 30, 2015.”
2. DELETE existing Section XII (Cost) and SUBSTITUTE the following:
“Fontana agrees, in consideration for services rendered by a half-time
probation officer under this contract, to pay to said County the cost of
salary and benefits for a half-time probation officer assigned to
Fontana, in an annual amount not to exceed fifty-two thousand three
hundred twenty-five dollars ($52,325) for the term of the contract.”
3. All other provisions and terms of this Agreement shall remain the
same and are hereby incorporated by reference. Authorize the City
Manager or his designee to sign the contract, all related documents
and any amendments for the term of the contract.
E. Resolution of Intent to Sell Surplus Property Located on the
Southwest Corner of Foothill Boulevard and Tokay Avenue
1. Adopt Resolution No. 2014- _____, a Resolution of the City of
Fontana declaring its intention to sell surplus land located on the
southwest corner of Foothill Boulevard and Tokay Avenue, commonly
known as Assessor Parcel Numbers 0232-091-18 and 0232-091-19,
and to set a public hearing for the consideration of protests.
2. Set the Public Hearing for March 25, 2014, for the consideration of
the sale of surplus property located on the southwest corner of Foothill
Boulevard and Tokay Avenue, commonly known as Assessor Parcel
Numbers 0232-091-18 and 0232-091-19.
F. Proposed Distribution of Ad Valorem Taxes for LAFCO 3177 –
Reorganization to Include City of Fontana Annexation No. 173
and Detachment from County Service Areas 70 and SL-1 (The
Annexation Area Generally Lies Between Almond Avenue to
the East, Mulberry Avenue to the West, and South of the I-10
Freeway)
Adopt Resolution No. 2014-______, accepting the proposed
distribution of Ad Valorem taxes as requested by the San Bernardino
county auditor-controller’s office for the area within Fontana’s sphere
of influence known as LAFCO 3177 – reorganization to include City of
Fontana Annexation No. 173 and detachment from County Service
Areas 70 and SL-1 (the annexation area generally lies between
Almond Avenue to the east, Mulberry Avenue to the west, and south of
the I-10 Freeway).
Approve Consent Calendar Items as recommended by staff.
